I've been trawling through the PROV website and found its digitised collection of Victorian maps covering Victorian parish, town plans and soldier settlement schemes. This is a very important resource for both family and local historians. Wonderful resolution providing very clear copies.

  To access the database, goto http://tinyurl.com/ycumo4d/ In the VPSL box, enter the number 16171. and add your Town or Parish into the box labelled "with any of these words or numbers".

  It's always worth retracing your steps over old ground. The PROV has also digitised many more wills and probate since I was last here.
